Don’t see your location of interest, academic field, or language of study in the list of faculty-led programs? Interested in completing an internship or conducting research abroad?

Students seeking programs outside of ÌÇÐÄVlog faculty-led experiences are welcome to apply to affiliate semester or summer study abroad providers through the Office of International Programs. Meredith Affiliate programs must meet academic rigor, safety/risk management, student support, and cultural immersion standards of the Office of International Programs. Academic courses must be approved by relevant Meredith academic departments.

Meredith Affiliate Semester and Summer Programs Application Process

For Affiliate semester and summer Study Abroad programs, students will complete both a study abroad application with the affiliate program and a ÌÇÐÄVlog Affiliate study abroad program application in VIA.Ìý

Both applications must be completed by the appropriate Meredith deadline and Affiliate program deadline. Many Affiliate program deadlines are different from ÌÇÐÄVlog in-house deadlines. Please be sure you submit your application to your affiliate provider by the deadlines listed on their websites.Ìý

Enrollment Capacity: Slots for semester Affiliate programs may be limited, so it is important to start the advising process as early as possible.

Deadlines for Affiliate Programs

  • October 1 – Spring 2025 program applications
  • November 15 – Early Bird for Summer and Fall 2025 Affiliate Programs
  • February 7 – Regular Decision for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025 Affiliate Programs


Notice of fees: Meredith students approved to study on Affiliate Programs will be assessed a non-refundable study abroad fee of $500 that will be billed to the student’s account after receiving approval to study abroad.

Steps in the Affiliate Application Process:

  1. Start your Meredith Affiliate application in , our online application system. The application includes materials like:
    1. Academic Advisor Recommendation Form
    2. Faculty Recommendations
    3. Short Answer Questions
  2. Apply for Meredith OIP study abroad scholarships in VIA by answering a few additional short answer questions directly in the study abroad application.Ìý
  3. Start and submit your study abroad application directly through your affiliate provider.
  4. Virtual Meeting with the Office of Financial Assistance: All applicants to affiliate programs are encouraged to schedule a meeting with Ms. Judith Schram in the Office of Financial Assistance.

    2. When you schedule your appointment, include the following information:
      1. Your name
      2. The name of the study abroad program to which you are applying
      3. Term Abroad (Spring, Fall or Summer)
    3. Review and locate your affiliate program’s budget from your provider’s website.

Approved affiliate program students are eligible to travel with their Meredith institutional aid, as well as apply for study abroad scholarships through the Office of International Programs.Ìý
