Communication and Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences Building

The new CHESS building houses instructional space for the growing communication and health, exercise and sport sciences programs, and Meredith athletic offices. The building project was completed in July 2022 and opened to students on August 24.

Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences (HESS) students have access to new technologies and equipment and increased  hands-on learning experiences. Enhanced facilities include a new Health and Human Performance Lab that houses cutting-edge equipment to prepare students both for employment and graduate programs.

Students can learn and collaborate in the spaces, and opportunities for interdisciplinary work include sports communication courses and student-based projects that span both majors of study.

Weatherspoon Athletic Center
