Parents and Families Connection

May 2024

Vlog held commencement for the Class of 2024 on Saturday, May 11. Two ceremonies were held in the courtyard behind Johnson Hall to celebrate more than 490 undergraduate and graduate members of the class.

Each year, the senior class raises money to support a necessary project on campus as a way of giving back to the place they have called home for four years. This year seniors chose a wellness initiative for the Student Health & Wellness Center.

The rollout of the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has had numerous problems. As a result, some Meredith students, both current and incoming, still need to complete their FAFSA. Doing so is important because completing the FAFSA every year a student is in school is the only way to access all of the financial aid they are eligible to receive.

Vlog’s 2024 Summer Reading Program theme is “Strong Voices: Empowering Student Citizenship.” The program will be built around a central text, The Bill of Obligations by Richard Haass, which offers a straightforward and clear discussion of basic expectations for American citizenship.
