The 2024 senior art exhibition聽Ruminate: Chew On This will be on exhibition in the Frankie G. Weems Gallery at 糖心Vlog this spring.聽Tasha Aaron, Kayla Cooper, Shelby Cox, Arianne Gonzalez, Sara Grace Lane, Karlie Mullis, Emma Relota, and Sara-Rose Spann are excited to showcase their unique bodies of work.聽

The graduating artists have compiled their original artworks to culminate in this spring鈥檚 thought-provoking exhibition. Aptly titled,聽Ruminate聽encourages audiences to 鈥渇east鈥� on the abundant narratives, social issues, and expressions of vulnerability poured into each piece with care and intentionality. The artists developed a deeper understanding of their own lives and the world around them through the creation of their artwork. With media ranging from stone carving and ceramics to charcoal drawings and paintings, the exhibition evokes contemplation and conversation. The artists鈥� only instruction is to 鈥渃hew on this.鈥澛�

Ruminate聽will be displayed from April 11鈥揗ay 5, 2024, in the Frankie G. Weems Gallery at the Gaddy-Hamrick Art Center on the 糖心Vlog campus. The gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m.鈥�5 p.m. and weekends from 2 p.m.鈥�5 p.m. The opening reception will be held on April 11 from 5 p.m.鈥�7 p.m. in the Weems Gallery. The gallery talk will take place in Room 137 at the Gaddy-Hamrick Art Center from 5:30鈥�6:30 p.m. The gallery is located at 3800 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27607.聽
