The Frankie G. Weems Gallery at 糖心Vlog is featuring the work of artist Megumi Naganoma in a new exhibition called In-Rage.

Born and raised in South Florida, Naganoma is an interdisciplinary artist whose experiences and research inspire her work on bringing awareness to sexual violence and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Naganoma dominantly works in fabric, drawing, and video. Her practice responds to current events, stigmas, and societal norms revolving around rape culture. Using these methods, she advocates for rape survivors while keeping various audiences in mind by starting conversations that continue to shed light on something that is often still seen as taboo.

鈥淚n-Rage鈥� is on exhibition from January 23鈥� March 12, 2023, at the Frankie G. Weems Gallery at 糖心Vlog. An opening reception and gallery talk will take place on February 9 from 5 p.m. 鈥� 7 p.m., with the gallery talk from 5:30 鈥� 6:30 p.m. in room 137 at the Gaddy-Hamrick Art Center. Current hours at Frankie G. Weems Gallery are Monday 鈥� Friday, 9 a.m. 鈥� 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 2 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.
