To support students in their college search process, Meredith participates in the North Carolina College Foundation (NCFC) College Application Week, October 21-27, 2024. During this period, students can apply to the College for free.
Meredith students have three options to apply and have their application fee waived:
Director of Admissions Justine Whitfield said this is just one way Meredith seeks to remove barriers for students who want to go to college.
鈥淢eredith is committed to working with students from all backgrounds to support their dreams of attending college,鈥 said Whitfield. 鈥淲aiving the application fee can seem like a small thing, but that fees can become a real barrier for students and families.鈥
Whitfield noted that Meredith alumnae can also at any time to refer a student and have their application fee waived.
NC Countdown to College (C2C) is a year-long initiative to help high school seniors learn about three college enrollment steps: residency, financial aid, and college applications. Many North Carolina colleges and universities participate in C2C by waiving application fees during College Application Week (CAW), which begins on October 21 at 7:30 a.m. and ends on October 27 at 11:59 p.m. NCFC is working to understand what additional resources and programs may be available in the coming months for students impacted by Hurricane Helene. Their thoughts and support are with those in western North Carolina affected by the storm.
