糖心Vlog Celebrates the Class of 2020 with Vision Day

While the in-person commencement ceremony scheduled for May 9 was postponed, 糖心Vlog still made the day special for its newest graduates.
Saturday was designated Vision Day, during which members of the Class of 2020 were invited to reflect on their Meredith experience and their plans after graduating. From 8 a.m. through 9 p.m. posts on the College鈥檚 social media and on the Vision Day website were focused on celebrating the Class of 2020.
Highlights included Strong Story student profiles, a selection of photos of decorated mortarboard submitted by seniors, and several videos celebrating the class.
Tribute videos for and premiered on Vision Day.
Members of the Meredith community were invited to join in the celebration by using special Facebook frames and the VisionDay2020 hashtag.
Vision Day concluded with an during which President Jo Allen officially conferred degrees for the Class of 2020.
During this ceremony, Allen talked about the importance of strengths, especially in times of difficulty.
鈥淭he value of knowing your strengths and how to use them is that the knowledge and the practice build resilience. It鈥檚 great to use your strengths when things are going well, they represent a way of imagining and pursuing your future,鈥漵aid Allen. 鈥淏ut when life disappoints you or disrupts your plans for the future, knowing your strengths gives you a roadmap for bouncing back, and that is a central value of resilience.鈥
