Encourage Your Student to Explore Study Abroad Options

The Office of International Programs recently hosted its biggest study abroad event of the year! The Study Abroad Fair was held on Tuesday, September 24, and served as the launch of spring break, summer, and fall 2025 study abroad applications.Â
On Meredith Abroad programs, students travel with Meredith faculty and take courses abroad to fulfill many major, minor, and general education requirements. Short-term programs range from 10 days to 7 weeks and offer 3-12 credits. The Semester in Italy program offers a full semester of Meredith courses that fulfill general education requirements. Students can also apply for Meredith Affiliate summer and semester programs throughout the world with the college’s trusted and vetted partner programs.Â
Meredith Abroad Faculty-Led Undergraduate Programs for 2025 include:
Fall 2025: Semester in Italy
This program allows students to completely fulfill the Foreign Language Gen. Ed. requirement in one semester, along with a full offering of courses designed for all majors to complete degree requirements. This program is most ideal for first semester sophomores and features a special “Career Readiness for the Global Citizen” class.Â
Spring Course + Spring Break 2025: Math, Art, and Italy
Summer 2025:
The Office of International Programs offers regular Study Abroad 101 Workshops and Study Abroad Funding Workshops for students to learn more about programs and funding options.Â
Meredith has outstanding study abroad scholarships and generous financial aid policies to help make study abroad affordable. Scholarships are both merit-based and need-based. Students apply for scholarships within their study abroad applications. Last year, the OIP awarded over $150,000 in study abroad scholarships. The fall Semester in Italy program has multiple scholarship awards up to $7,000!
Deadlines:
Students should visit to explore programs, begin the application process, schedule an advising appointment, or attend a funding workshop.
Passports:
Since processing times can take up to four months, the Office of International Programs is recommending all students start applying for passports early!
