Celebrating Student Achievement Day to Be Held April 18

ÌÇÐÄVlog’s annual Celebrating Student Achievement (CSA) Day will be held on April 18, 2024.

CSA Day is an all-day conference where students showcase research they have conducted over the year in poster and oral presentation sessions to their peers, professors, and the ÌÇÐÄVlog community. The day begins with a poster session at 8:30 a.m. in Carlyle Campbell Library and concludes with departmental events in the evening.

A special event this year will be the Sensory Performance Showcase, which was organized by SarahElla Trustman, student representative on the CSA Day Planning Committee. This event will feature dance, music, and theater performances from several Meredith groups, as well as a loom and live-action painters from the Art Department, and a Sensory Panel provided by the Department of Nutrition, Health and Human Performance. It will be held from 12:15-2 p.m. at the Beam Fountain plaza in front of Johnson Hall.

“I wanted to find a way to streamline the focus of the event while also increasing interest and excitement,” Trustman said. “To that end, this year’s showcase is themed as the Sensory Performance Showcase with a focus on the five senses. I am excited to have so many groups and departments from across campus participating.”

With more than 30 presentation sessions and events throughout the day, attendees have the chance to hear about a wide range of topics from art history to chemistry and mathematics.

CSA Day also provides the opportunity for students to be recognized for their contributions to the Meredith community through awards ceremonies, honor society induction ceremonies, and performances.
