On Wednesday, April 14, the Office of Alumnae Relations held two Alumnae Induction Ceremonies for the Class of 2021.聽 The ceremonies, at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Jones Chapel Courtyard, marked the Class of 2021鈥檚 official membership in the Alumnae Association.聽聽
The evening鈥檚 program included greetings from several special alumnae and classmates. Taylor Wilson Twine, 鈥13, assistant director of alumnae relations and the Class of 2021 advisor, welcomed students and spent a moment reflecting back on their four years together. Hannah Kicklighter, 鈥19, brought greetings from the Big Sis class. Anne Luter Bromby, 鈥71, looked back on her class鈥檚 time as 2021鈥檚 鈥淕olden Sisters,鈥 a bond forged four years ago between classes that are 50 years apart in graduation years.聽
Lindsey Lewis, 鈥21, and Neali Helms, 鈥21, gave an update on the Class of 2021鈥檚 three potential class gift options and Grace Clougherty, 鈥21, and Haley Ivey, 鈥21, introduced their class doll, Ms. Gwendolyn Daisy Ad Astra. To conclude the event, Courtney Allen, 鈥10, incoming Alumnae Association president, administered the induction oath by candlelight.聽
鈥淚t could not have been a more beautiful evening to celebrate a class that has so gracefully handled such a difficult senior year,鈥 said Twine. 鈥淓ven masks could not hide the happiness on each of their faces to be together and to have made it to this point.鈥
