MS-ADNT Admissions
Minimum Admissions Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in any area from a 4-year college or university, or an international equivalent.
- The GRE is no longer required.
- Completion of, or current enrollment in, the following prerequisite courses with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0
- General Biology and Laboratory
- Anatomy & Physiology*
- Microbiology and Laboratory
- General Chemistry I and Laboratory
- Organic Chemistry*
- Introductory Nutrition
- Introductory Psychology
- Introductory Statistics
*lab preferred but not required for admission
Application Requirements
- must be completed and a non-refundable $60 application fee. Online payment is available upon application submission.
- Note: Applicant must indicate the track for which you are applying: Accelerated Dietitian Nutritionist Track (MS-ADNT)
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
- Two letters of recommendations from individuals with knowledge of the applicant鈥檚 professional work or ability. At least one recommendation from an academic source is strongly preferred.听 The recommendation forms are electronic via the. The form will be sent directly to the Recommender鈥檚 email address entered on the application.
- Current resume detailing paid and volunteer experiences, especially those related to nutrition, health care, public health and other relevant areas.
- Responses to essay questions
Once the completed application has been received, the applicant may be contacted to schedule an interview.
Per college policies, students are not allowed to transfer from the MS/DPD program to the MS-ADNT program.听 Students are only permitted to apply to the program they wish to attend and not transfer between programs.
The MS-ADNT program will not assess prior learning as credit or experience.
Application Deadlines
Applications for the MS-ADNT program will be reviewed on a rolling admissions basis starting January 1.听 Applications will continue being reviewed until the class is full.听听

Program Calendar, Supervised Sites and Scheduling
The MS-ADNT program begins with a cohort exclusively in the fall semester. 糖心Vlog Academic Calendar can be found on the registrar鈥檚 website.听 The MS-ADNT program identifies and secures all supervised experiential learning (SEL) sites and preceptors for the students. Placements are determined based on input from the experiential learning preceptors, faculty and students. SELs are scheduled on an individual basis and the calendar will be shared with all students one week prior to the beginning of the SEL experience.听
Distance Education Requirements
The technology requirements for the distance education portions of the MS-ADNT program include:
- A computer (desktop/laptop) or mobile device (smartphone/tablet).
- Students must be proficient in typing, and in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Suite Applications.
- Speakers/headphones/earbuds for listening to audio or videos presented in courses.
- Students must have access to a stable internet connection.
Program Completion Requirements
All students graduating from the MS-ADNT program must successfully complete 47 hours of MS-ADNT coursework and SEL.
No student may apply for more than six (6) credits with a grade of a 鈥淐.鈥澨 The maximum time allotted to complete the MS-ADNT program is six (6) calendar years.听
All students must pass all SEL experiences with successful satisfaction of all SEL competencies and completion of all required assignments.
For students who do not meet one of these requirements, the procedures outlined in the graduate catalog will be followed.
