Although financial aid resources for undocumented students are limited in both type and amount at Meredith, we encourage you to explore the opportunities that are listed below – and then speak with a financial assistance counselor if you have questions. You, and your family, should be prepared to assume the primary responsibility for financing your education.
In order to qualify for federal financial assistance, a student must be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident, a citizen of the Freely Associated States, or meet the requirements of an eligible noncitizen. Generally, eligible noncitizens include permanent residents, conditional permanent residents, holders of I-94 records with a designation of Refugee, Asylum Granted, Parolee, T-Visa, Cuban-Haitian Entrant, or Victim of Human Trafficking. Please refer to the FAFSA for a more specific definition of an eligible noncitizen.
If you are in the U.S. and have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)Â you will be ineligible for federal student aid.
