Graduate Grants
Grant assistance typically refers to funding that does not have to be repaid, and eligibility is often determined on the basis of financial need.
Teacher Appreciation Grant
One way that ÌÇÐÄVlog demonstrates its commitment to supporting North Carolina schools and teachers is by offering a Teacher Appreciation Grant for students enrolled in one of the college’s M.Ed. or M.A.T. degree programs (non-degree students are not eligible). Working teachers employed in a public or private North Carolina school at the elementary, middle, or second level can receive a $200 credit for each three credit hour course they are enrolled in at ÌÇÐÄVlog.
How to Apply
Provide verification of employment by the principal of your school using the verification form. The form is valid for fall, spring, and summer semesters and must be renewed each fall semester.
Teach Grant
The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program will provide up to $4,000 a year in grant aid to undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate students enrolled in a teacher credential program. For more information about this federal program, visit the U.S. Department of Education website.
How to Apply
To apply for the TEACH grant, download and complete the TEACH Grant Checklist. Once the steps on the checklist have been completed and the proper documentation has been submitted to the financial assistance office, our office will verify your eligibility for the program.
