Patty Whisnant Cease earned a B.S. in Math from Meredith in 1975. After returning to NC from Atlanta in 1981, she joined Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) as a manager in the Information Technology (IT) organization. She served in a variety of leadership roles within corporate IT organizations and retired from Duke Energy in 2013.
Patty resides in Cary, NC and is an active community volunteer in local elementary schools and Dorcas Ministries. As a Meredith student she chaired the Legislative Board and served as a Freshman Residence Hall Advisor. Her recent service to Meredith includes the Beyond Strong Campaign Steering Committee, Friends of Sansepolcro, and School of Business Advisory Board.
