Profile
I joined Meredith in 2020 and have taught courses across the Interior Design curriculum and as part of Study Abroad programs. My interests focus on placemaking and the symbolic meanings and connections between person and place. A place can be both cultural and physical, with ties to the past, present, and future, and the power of place is a significant design factor shaping the lives and experiences of the inhabitants of the designed environment. My research specifically addresses the significance of place in the design of Domestic Violence Shelters. As an Interior Design Educator, I draw heavily from my extensive professional practice experience in Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, and Hospitality design. My area of design specialization and expertise is Architectural Lighting Design.
