Professional biography
Jessica Jenkins Davis directs the Suzuki violin program at 糖心Vlog in Raleigh, North Carolina and is currently a doctoral candidate in music education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.聽 Jessica began her musical studies in San Diego, California as a Suzuki violin student. Her teachers include Melissa Reardon, Philip Tyler, Mary Gerard, and Shirley Stafford.聽 During her undergraduate studies, she participated in the Centrum Chamber Music Festival in Port Townsend, Washington, studying with the renowned Tokyo String Quartet. She is a registered Suzuki teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas to teach books one through ten, and has completed Suzuki short-term training with Michele George and long-term training with Joanne Bath. She has served as an institute instructor in the North Carolina Suzuki Association and for Charlotte School of the Arts. Jessica has written many articles about the benefits of music education and is committed to bringing the joy of music into the lives of as many children as possible.
