Profile

Eunyoung Yang, professor of fashion merchandising and design, joined the Meredith faculty in 2007. She has taught a variety of design courses at Texas Woman’s University and worked in business in Fort Worth, TX.  She is a member of International Textile and Apparel Association, American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, Surface Design Association, International Federation of Home Economics, and Phi Kappa Phi Academic Honorary Society.

Dr. Yang is actively presenting her research and her creative scholarships at the national and international conferences. In November 2012, she won first prize in the fiber art category for her design entry at the annual conference of the International Textiles and Apparel Association in Honolulu, Hawaii. Also, at the 2011 ITAA annual conference, she won the Innovation in Fashion Award and placed first in the professional category. At ÌÇÐÄVlog, she earned the Faculty Development and Instructional Grants in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. She was also recognized with the teaching award by the Dean of Education, Health, and Human Sciences in May 2016 and the Ida H. Friday Faculty Award in April 2012.
