Dr. Candalyn Rade is an applied social and community psychologist. She takes an interdisciplinary approach to her work that draws from the fields of community psychology, social psychology, and criminal justice. Dr. Rade aims to engage collaboratively with formerly incarcerated persons, their families, and other community stakeholders. In doing so, her research focuses on bolstering community-based resources and reducing barriers to community reentry after justice system involvement, with an emphasis on stigma and discrimination based on having a criminal record. Her work is published in several journals including: Criminal Justice & Behavior; Psychological Services; and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Dr. Rade enjoys teaching a range of courses, with a special love for research methods, and conveying her passion for applied work in and out of the classroom.聽聽聽聽
